Today, my roomate's cats pooped on the floor again. He refuses to clean it up saying it will be easier to clean in 48 hours. FML

I remember when my family got our first kitty. He liked to sleep with me, but was afraid to go to the bathroom. His solution: taking a dump on my pillow. My answer: rolling my head in it while still being asleep. True story.

It actually is, because it hardens and u can just scrape it off in one piece with a knife.

A knife, you say! That is one of the most disgusting comments I've ever read here. Not only do you condone letting shit sit around in your living space, but you then remove it with an eating utensil.

Seriously people. Poo gets harder the longer it is exposed to air, thus making it easier to clean up. Haven't you ever had a pet? Still should just clean it up now so there isn't a stain. Sorry. FYL.

Pick it up, put it in his room, deadbolt the cats into diapers

"easier to clean up" because he knows that if he doesn't clean it up, you will. so it will be way easier in 48 hours because he won't have to clean it up at all [:

. you could have picked up the poop and placed it on your roommates bed and let him know where he can find it 48 hours later.

Cats usually don't start doing their business outside the box unless it's dirty, no easy access or health problems. If he had no access to the litter box put the box where it's easy for the cat to get to. If the cat does his business outside in the garden look into installing a pet door for him. If your roommate doesnt look after the cat well report him to animal control. They will come take the cat away

I'd rub it into your roommates bed, and when they go to bed and btch about the mess, just assure them that "Its okay, its easier to clean in 48 hours"

Actually, that's like half true, really it's only a few hours, but it needs to harden a little before it's picked up or it will probably smear and stain even MORE of the carpet. If left alone for a little bit it probably won't stain. I know it sounds gross but having worked with everything from hedgehogs to domestic cats to wild cats to foxes then up to wolves, I know how shit cleaning works. Sooo it will be easier in 48hrs, but it doesn't take THAT long before it won't stain or smear.
