I totally get it. I was fired from my first job because I refused to smoke pot with the new owner's son. I had worked there for 2 years with no issues with the original owners, and suddenly I "wasn't working" and "hanging out with my boyfriend." Even though the only time he visited, I was on top of some display cases, scrubbing the shit out of them.
Conflict of interest much?
Once upon a time, I played little league and every coach had children in the league. There was an all star team and only coaches children got onto it because of favorites. Then one day they went to play the other all star team from a park that chose the best kids for their team. Our team lost 18-3
don't worry karma is a bitch! keep your head up
If they actually thought you were stealing they would press charges. The fact that they send you home with a slap on the wrist proves they're full of shit. Sorry OP.
"Nepotism" look it up.
He'll eventually screw up. One of the day employees was trying to frame my friend who worked the evening shift for stealing because my friend is gay. Eventually, my friend ended up calling in sick and the other employee still reported that his drawer was short, which proved what was happening. Hang in there!

The shittiest player on my old softball team got MVP over me just because she was the coach's daughter. I think you should just keep proving yourself to be better than him as a worker, and soon get promoted out of having to work with him.
Unfortunately yes OP it really does pay to be the bosses son. Nepotism really is hard to overlook and he probably doesn't want to believe his son would be a slacker. Hopefully you're a good enough worker for your boss not to punish you.
