MainePains tells us more.
Hello, OP here! Apparently, the reason he has been crying is because the high school he goes to a lot of rumors are flying around- about Ebola coming to Maine. Thanks for the advice, but I have to say- a few of you are Maineiacs.

everybody is blowing this Ebola thing way out of proportion.
Main stream media over exaggerates all the time.
Tell the kid to read about how it works. It transfers by body fluids. Like blood to blood or french kissing someone who is infected.
Unless someone makes it piggy back on the common cold and alters it so it will only infect those with certain DNA makers lol but that is improbable.
People don't seem to realize how difficult it is for a disease like Ebola to spread in the US. It's not airborne, which makes it drastically less communicable. The only real way you can get Ebola is through body fluids. So as long as people don't make out or share needles or something with an Ebola victim, there will never be a mass outbreak since our country has pretty good public health standards.
Viruses can mutate to airborne especially if it can't spread good in its normal method.
But that's unlikely to happen. It's a possibility but a relatively slim one
Tell if he is more likely to get super aids

It's really not that weird. With all the news reports about I'm surprised people still go outside.
Biddeford would miss Lewiston because it's the only city that makes Biddeford look good
What is means OP
I Say ground him for his own safety. Knowing teenagers, he'll be sneaking out that very night.
P.S. He didn't. We had him watch the Colbert Report and made a joke out of it, and he's fine now.
I live in Austin, TX… I should be the one crying, huh? …… that ***** airborne.
I'm in San Antonio..
Its not airborne yet.
It's not airborne. it's transmitted through bodily fluids
the world health organisation has realised that it can be spread by coughing and sneezing the bbc did a full report on it
But someone has to cough or sneeze relatively big droplets on to you. It's extremely unlikely you'll get it if someone sneezes on the other side of the room
Coughing and sneezing does not equal airborne according to the definition of how viruses are spread.
The way it's going, just being in contact with someone who has it gets it. Just found out that a second doctor has it now and is in quarenty. I've heard that someone out in Atlanta had it and was "cured" but who knows, what we do know is the guy who had it in Dallas died, two of the doctors that came in contact with the guy now have it and one of the doctor's bf has it. So it went from one guy having it, to three people having it and who know how many others that may have it and not know, out there spreading it around. You may not think much of it but this could end badly.
My friend is also freaking out about Ebola which is bs considering that she's 18 and we live in maryland
He might

The Maine thing is that you explain to him he's safe.
Ebola has been blown totally out of proportion, yes, its a hazard in Africa with over three thousand deaths but it won't end up being the next zombie apocalypse as is always portrayed with movies, we have unrealistic views of the world and the news goes a long way in brainwashing us.
