I cried when i got my first phone FROM HAPPINESS!!! Mine wasn't even a smartphone, i was just so happy to have one. It was probably one of the best days of my life. Spoiled ***** like these dont deserve a home.

Oh my God. I am 15 years old and am a suicide survivor and I can assure you it was not because I didn't get the phone I wanted. I feel for you, OP. My mom was devastated when I tried and even though your daughter didn't really try it is sure scary.

The suicide part is too much, maybe complain or talk it over. I'd get her a flip phone.
