Today, I took my 15 year old daughter driving. I yelled at her for not going safely around corners. On the way home, while demonstrating how to drive right, I went around a corner and hit a cement truck. FML

Today, I watched as the teenage neighbor girl tried to parallel-park between me and my wife's cars. She was doing pretty well until she backed into mine, got scared, hit the accelerator and ran into my wife's. FML

Today, my girlfriend has spent months convincing me to let her have a go driving my Mercedes, and like a fool I gave in and let her drive it once round the street. She didn’t make it 12 inches before she reversed it into the gate post, denting the body, and destroying the paintwork. FML

Today, without trying, I convinced my 24 year-old daughter that Stop signs with a white border around it were optional. Her car is now totaled and she’s in the emergency room with whiplash. I didn’t think she’d be that gullible. FML

Just because a person is licensed to drive does not mean they should do it on their own, in a car probably larger than the one they took lessons in, less than the time it takes to buy a coffee later. Kinda deserve it tbh...

That's why YOU (the parent) is supposed to make sure driving lessons are given (if not by you, by a qualified instructor) and that a certain amount of "road time" is done before you allow them to even apply for a driving license. #parentingfail YDI
