Sometimes people take a milestone like that as you being cured of your problem. They think bringing you alcohol is like saying they believe you're strong enough to handle it. Like celebrating that you are in control now and capable of taking a drink without relapsing. Congratulations, OP. Hopefully the gift was meant with good intentions.
