Most vegans aren't assholes. After reading the comments on this FML - some vegans aren't assholes. In all seriousness, it's probably just a few who give the others a bad rap, as happens with so many groups. For clarification's sake, you only become an asshole when you talk down to others in the belief that your ways of thinking are inherently 'better' instead of, say, a lifestyle choice. I got nothing against vegans but I've got plenty against those who degrade others.

I am sorry to differ with some on here, but no one... NO ONE, is more pretentious or hypocritical than a dedicated vegan. I have yet to meet one who doesn't think pretty much the same as this woman's boyfriend.. and is in DIRE NEED of a punch in the face.

What I would like to know is why his girlfriend would ask that kind of question. OP knows he's a vegan, and thus knows how extreme his concern for animals is. Although the answer he gave was not the answer she wanted to hear, I would think it would be the kind of answer she should expect.

Look I am a vegan, and I am two years ahead of my class. When I see other idiot vegans like this it makes me want to cry, just because they don't get the morals of what the point of being vegan is.
