Today, I went on yet another date with this beautiful young lady from my job. I can’t help but feel bad because ever since my wife gave birth to our kid she’s been sluggish and puffy, and I’m not attracted to her anymore, but I don’t know how to leave her because my son would be without a father. I hate this. FML

Today, it was our first kid-free weekend in almost two months, and I was hoping for a nice date night. Instead, she picked up two shifts at work and then had a girls' night. Don't worry, she assigned me a massive deep clean that ate up almost my entire weekend. FML

Today, after over a month of planning, my friend had to cancel her first night out in over a year. Why? Because her "perfect" fiancé didn't want to, and started sulking when she tried to, so decided to put off letting her go out for a few more months. Apparently, it's my fault this happens. FML

Today, my wife told me I’m not worth the trouble. She’d rather overextend herself for complete strangers than spend any time with me. I should've seen this coming. Even before we got married, her favourite line was, “You already had children with someone else, we’ll never be a family.” I tried for nothing. FML

Last night, she revealed that she's still married, that her husband is "not so bad", and then confessed it all to him and blocked me. It was gonna be my first date in six years, after the last one stalked me across the country. FML

Today, unbeknownst to me, my wife cancelled our airplane tickets because she didn't want to face her fear of flying like we had agreed. Now, we're going to have to take another week off so I can drive 3000 miles cross country, while she sleeps in the shotgun seat because her licence expired. FML

There is quite a difference developmentally month to month until about 2. Which is why they use months.

My wife waits till around the 20 month point before she's comfortable leaving the kid with a babysitter. I don't blame her, I barely trust a babysitter with the older kids. Especially with the increasing number of weirdos out there or teens who just bring their bf over.

One time when I was a baby, someone other than my Mom or Dad watched me for the first time (my aunt). I apparently got so upset I slammed my head against the ground until I knocked myself out. Kids are hard work and you have to keep a constant eye on them. The mother could be worried about leaving her one year old alone, or so busy that she really doesn't have the time for other things. Are you helping out around the house, OP?
