better have a warranty, hopefully you'll keep it out of her reach next time
Maybe she wanted to play some online poker.
Put another mark in the "why not to have kids" column.
Maybe a piggy bank wouldn't be a bad idea...or something like that...
Card reader slot is NOT a CD spot...
Or the actual CD slot which pulls out so you can put disks in it. You can stick a lot of coins in it. The card reader slot is small in a laptop and you can't stick a coin in it since its too shallow or too small
There was a 'and' between them. The card reader slot AND in the CD drive. Indicating 2 different things. Quite bad luck, CD drives are becoming a thing of the past, they don't seem to be standard on laptops these days. I haven't had a laptop in years that has had a CD drive installed and I can't remember the last time I used the external one. The card reader is another matter.
maybe you can download the money and multiple it
If she's little, then it's understandable. My mom said that when I was little, I would stick crackers in her computer's floppy drive (remember those?).
Geeze, you make me feel old. We used to have a computer tower with a floppy disk and CD drive.
Don't take it to heart. I'm only 17, but I started using computers back in the late '90s, when those were still common.
My brother used to hide them in the DVD player!

At least she is giving you some money to repair it.
She's paying the computer toll.
