on my first driving lesson we did parallel parking. I messed up once, and that's because I drove over grass by an inch (which we pretended was the curb) you must really suck...

Parallel parking in your first lesson? I parallel parked once and that was a week or so before my test. Luckily I wasn't asked to do it, I'm still not fantastic at it when it's a tight space :( but I have to do it maybe once a year so it's okay I guess. But my first lesson was learning how to move the car, and how to stop it. That was it.
