Today, one of my dad's work friends came over. As he was leaving, he complimented my dad on having three "strapping young boys." I informed him that I'm a girl, and I have a hormone imbalance that causes me to have a lot of hair and a deep voice. I guess my dress didn't give him a clue. FML

Today, I noticed that my facial hair had grown by an acceptable amount. I spoke to my Dad and decided to show him, thinking he would approve of my manliness. His exact words when I showed him were, "Nah, son. You just look like a lesbian." FML

Today, I was complimented by a stranger, who said I looked great in my outfit. I thanked her, and she immediately gave me a fist-bump. I stared curiously, and she explained: she was arguing with her friends about whether I'm a man or a woman. The pitch of my voice was the answer. FML

I've been there. I have a "boyish" figure according to others (ugh, I hate that term) and have gotten called "sir" a few times (mostly while wearing my baggy work uniform and hat).

Im sorry and its not you fault you have a hormone imbalance and I to have a deep voice for a girl so I know how you feel on some level, but honey there is many ways to have avoided this situation besided just wearing a dress?,I don't understand if you have so much hair why not shave or wax? how about put your hair up in a cute girly style and wear some makeup...the way you worded this question you made it sound like you this imbalance just affects you on outter appearance if you have a feminime figure and breasts idk how this man would mistake you for a boy your obviously not putting enough effort into your looks because if what he said offended you enough to post it up on FML then you (imo) are obviously not happy/comfortable with looking like a "boy" then why are you not doing something about im sorry but I had to put YDI.

If you don't look like the women on TV who are considered Women, then be ready to always to be called sir. Men don't really notice much. Well I should say older men. He was probably one of those guys that thinks that men that wear speedos are women who are topless.

I have the same exact problem. But at least you're called a male and not a gorilla in a dress :( Ik how you feel. But I've learned to embarrass it. The testosterone helps in fights.
