Today, our new cat, which my mum was hesitant about letting us keep because she believes they're diseased, gave us all ringworm. FML

YDI - cats with ringworm LOOK diseased. either you picked a mangy cat or you didn't get it from the cat. either way, you're an idiot.

Be careful...if you get ringworm on your head, it spreads under the skin from hair follicle to hair follicle and creams do not work. You can end up w/bad scarring and bald patches. Oral anti-fungal will take care of it.

well your I'm china right? shoulda known better.

you know you can't get worms from a cat yeah, that it's humans that give the animal worms. which means you were given worms from a friend or family member and gave it to your poor new pet.

ummmm idk if its ydi, bc u saved a cat, or an fyl bc u have an illness. its not that hard to get rid of though

I hate cats. They don't give a shit about you.

That's not true. Yes, some cats are like that, some are not. Kinda like people - some are assholes, some are cool. My old cat was the sweetest thing in the world. She never bit or scratched anybody, came when she was called, knew the word "no"... And she always knew if I was unhappy or sick and would come and curl up with me. I'm more of a dog person, but boy do I miss that cat.

My cats always want to sit on my lap and have belly rubs, they are VERY friendly.

what is the cat hairless? you skin to skin contact or contact with sweat of an affected individual to get ringworm, I'd imagine that'd be difficult with a cat

Ringworm isn't a disease. It's a fungal infection.

Aww poor OP. Same thing happened to me. And it left scars. Hopefully yours isn't as bad. (:
