Today, I found out that people can get ringworm from cats. I found out because I have ringworm. I don't have a cat. Then I remembered I helped a friend move about two weeks ago, and spent the night sharing a bed with her cat. That's the last time I ever help her move. FML

Today, my sister found out she contracted ringworm and scabies from her best friend's rescued kittens. The entire family now has to be treated to prevent it from spreading. There are 7 people in our house and none of us have health insurance. FML

Today, I'm feeling extremely sick and itchy. I'd bought rats as pets to help with my anxiety, and they gave me ringworm. I now have ringworm in about nine places on my body, including my face. I don’t know which one is worse, being dizzy from the medication or the itching. I’m feeling more anxious than ever. FML

Today, I saved a kitten from the streets, cleaned her up and asked the vet what I should do with her because she was the sweetest thing and my cat has a highly contagious illness. The vet had to put her down. FML

OP meant pinworm/threadworm. Chances of the whole family getting tinea infections (ringworm) the same time is unlikely, whereas if one individual in the family gets threadworm, then we treat the whole family for it. Use your brain or go wiki before calling someone else moron, you moron.

I had a long comment typed out, bitching about how people are saying "Should've taken it to the vet." But I changed my mind and decided to say that I've had tons of cats and not all of them have been to the vet (except for the ones that only went to get fixed), and have never had this happen (Knock on wood). So this could very well be an unlucky coincidence, and for all we know, they may have been planning a trip to the vet.
