Today, out of habit from twelve years of karate classes, I bowed to my teacher as I exited my classroom. My chemistry classroom. FML

It shows that you've learned respect, maybe a little out of context, but there is a bright side to this

I would just start doing it every day...

That's what you get for being weird and doing karate

Don't worry about it :D I've only practiced karate for 6 years but still every time I leave class room or a larger room I almost turn around and bow... But yeah like many have pointed out it only shows respect and it is fairly easy to explain to people why you are bowing :)

I did the same recently, my instructors were strict about bowing out during black belt testing.

Ive done the same thing so many times! I take karate too

Something similar happen to me a few years ago, when the teacher asked about my homework I shouted Yes Sir. I know how you feel.

the kids in my class tried to get the teacher fired, all while their grades ans their behavior towards the teachee

Reminds me of when I was working as a hostess with my friend one time and whenever people left I would say 'bye have a good day' and bow. I didn't even realize until my friend questioned me when we were cleaning up at the end.
