cakefete2 tells us more.
I can't speak for the finances of every church, but at my church we are not flush with cash in the way a mega church might be. We are called to be stewards of the property God had given us and to this end, we asked people to dig deep that we could fill the need that was evident. Sadly, after the sacrifices that were made, we can't help but be hurt. Still, Christians are versed in hardship and overcoming adversity. We will pray for the thief, ask healing for the church, and seek blessings to continue to meet the needs of the community.

I think it was an inside job!
It's possible.
Maybe, or it was to make a point. I don't want to start an argument, but a lot of people think churches in general are thieves.
That's pretty pathetic that someone would steal from a church.
They can use those monitors to watch themselves go straight to hell
Happened at my church a few years ago. It was someone who was the 18 year old child of a member and they stole their rents key to the church and took a lot of things like that and money and instruments. Hope you find the culprit!
That is horrible! They will be given the worst karma! :(
God doesn't care about you lol
Maybe "God" will strike them dead or have better stuff donated
Anybody else think it was an inside job? Pretty convenient timing.....
EXACTLY what I was thinking.
Something like that happened at my old church. We knew it was an inside job but couldn't figure out who it was. But after we took up the offering, before the service was over it was discovered that someone stole all the cash that was in the offering that morning. We prayed for the person though. I don't remember if they ever turned themselves in or anything but we changed the method of where the money went after that and didn't have any more instances like that.
Well praying really did a lot then.
How much of a disgrace do you have to be to steal from a church. Doesn't matter what religion it is. That is a place sacred to some people that teaches them to do good. So you steal from them?
Good, you mean like racism, sexism, homophobia, preaching that you should be judgemental and unquestioning loyalty? The Bible says you should stone disobedient children to death, that's not exactly teaching people to do good. A building sacred to followers of the Flying Spaghetti Monster doesn't deserve special treatment, nor does a church.
well, Lomus, this may not convince you, but let me say that the bible may actually say that, but it kinda took it back. Some People just dont care about that...

you've gotta be pretty low to steal from a church.
Oh the irony.
