Today, someone took my flatscreen TV at my garage sale because some kid snuck a "free" label onto it. FML

If you know what kid did it, the parents should pay for it.

Aren't you suppose put the expensive item close to you so you can keep an eye on them?

Couldn't they have stolen it anyway even if it didn't say free since you didn't notice it?

unless someone else saw it and told op after the fact. Like "Wow. I wish I would have seen that you were giving away that flatscreen first" OP: "I'm sorry? Giving... away?*freak out*"

You clearly saw the sticker since you know about it, so I'm gonna vote YDI for leaving it on the TV after you saw it.

someone may have told him about it, from the context of "apparently" I think that's what happened.

Ugh! I hate garage sales! People offering you a quarter for everything. It's insulting. I'd rather burn the item in front of cheap asses than be undersold.

I like going to garage sales. You can find some pretty nice stuff there for super cheap.

YDI sorry OP but never leave a flatscreen TV alone

Exactly! These are my thoughts on this as well.

I'm not sure I understand this.. You saw a kid put a free sticker on it, then you saw someone walk off with it.. Did you not think to say something? Explain some more OP!

Unless I'm reading it wrong, it doesn't say she saw either of those things before the TV was taken. Maybe someone living with whoever took the TV thought it would be best to check with OP after seeing the sticker just to make sure it was legit.

Well that sucks...hope you get some sort of pay for it...

I agree with some of the statements above. If you knew about the sticker, then clearly you saw it or the person who walked off with it. However, if someone else told you about the "free" sticker, then perhaps they can describe the person who took the tv.
