Today, the day before my wife and I leave for our 1 year anniversary trip, I realized my passport expires in 2014, not 2015. Instead of a week's stay at an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic, we'll be spending three days in Louisville. Three angry days in Louisville. FML

You know what they way procrastination is like ************ feels good while you're doing it but in the end you are just ******* yourself.

If I was your wife I would definitely be going to the Dominican Republic by myself!

My idiot partner did something similar- his passport hadn't expired, but was due to expire within 3 months, so we got to the airport, and were told we couldn't board. Fortunately, the check in staff suggested we get in touch with immigration, and immigration gave him a waiver so that he could travel without getting a new passport on the spot. Not sure if that's a possibility for you, but I hope it all works out.

You know it's "I love peanut butter,' not "iluvpeanutbutter," right?

YDI because even if your passport expired in 2015 most countries do not allow you to enter if you passport expires within 6-9 months of the travel date. Since 2015 is just around the corner you wouldn't have been allowed to travel even with a "valid" passport.

How could anybody not say that you deserve that you no one to blame for that but yourself, your poor poor wife I can believe how she puts up with you

What about a temporary or emergency passport? Generally only takes about 4 working days... or did you only realise now? And the first thing that popped into your mind was write a FML.

A username that doesn't use capitals (and 'luv' because 'love' was taken) is pretty different to using an everyday phrase incorrectly.

Im away at college, which I could go back to Louisville for 3 days
