Today, the dry skin on my feet has gotten so bad that my boyfriend uses my feet to itch his legs when we're cuddling. FML

Hey, OP here. I lotion my feet multiple times a day. I also work at a place that requires me to constantly be on my feet. It's not like I don't try to fix it. I've had it for a long time now, I even have my own pedicure instruments and sugar scrub, but it doesn't help get my feet 100% smooth.

Maybe time for a pedicure? Some exfoliation and good lotion would do you some good. Take care of yourself!

Time to get to the kitchen and whip your man up some lasagna. Use your feet to grate the parmesan.

I find it oddly sweet that he actually uses it as a joke rather than being repulsed by it even though it's slightly gross.... Just start small with moisturizer! It'll l go a long way~

Right? He's just accepting things for what they are and making the best of it.

I too think it's sweet of him. I love that he loves op so much and is so comfortable with her that he just uses it to scratch an itch and make light about the situation. Sounds like love to me!

Time to get some moisturiser for your feet, it does help a bit

Pedicure sounds like a good idea. Secondly, my girlfriend and I have discussed this. Why do people say I itched it? You scratch the place that itches. I thought that's how it's always been. Please explain?

When you scratch an itch, it makes the itch go away. Many words if you add ed to the end of it it makes it a past word. Therefore if you say you itched it, it's saying there was an itch but it went away.

I don't know, 16, but the fact that she said "itched" is why I voted YDI.

WRONG...Oh so wrong...If you have an itch, you scratch it. As in " My leg was itchy, so I scratched it." The word itch is not a verb, so it conveys no action. Yes, this is a massive peeve of mine... Oh, and Kudos to your boyfriend for making the best of a rough situation.

Actually, "itch" is a both a noun and a verb, you just don't use it in place of "scratch."

The way I used it in the sentences it is isn't a verb. It describe the place. It's not a verb, adverb maybe? I don't know. I didn't pick up grammar this way! I picked it up by going with what sounds right! I know you don't itch things. You scratch itches. You scratch itchy places. But it's like WHY DO OTHER PEOPLE SAY "I ITCHED IT?"

73 nailed it! But I share that pet peeve with 56. I have dry skin myself, so I would have otherwise been sympathetic to the OP!

FOUND IT!! Itch is an informal word for scratch. But it's not REALLY the word. I think people said it so much it became a part of the definition, but it's not supposed to be. Strictly formal speech, itch is a noun and a verb. You're right! Thanks!

I put lotion on my feet first thing in the morning before I even put socks and shoes on. Should clear it right up for you in a few days. You just have to take the initiative on it.

It rubs the lotion on it's skin or else it gets the hose again...

Maybe some lotion and something to scrub away the dead skin.=)
