I appreciate you guy's concerns, but really I am fine. I do live with a foster family and they are the sweetest. I'm not in danger or anything of that nature. They give me clean clothes and a comfy bed to sleep in, and three meals a day. I turn 16 in a few weeks so I'll be getting a job at a local grocery. And no they are not "rednecks," they are just great Mid Westerners. It was nothing worth getting anyone in trouble about. Again, thanks guys!

Good luck using paper towel as soap!

Op, your foster parents may be nice, but they are shitty parents! Considering you are in foster care, you may not realize how ****** up that is if you never had a normal home life before. My parents were both going thru med school at the same time (became doctors when my brother and I were still in grade school). They were broke as hell during their college and internship years, but even then, they made sure to buy the necessities. Luxuries like booze was not an option.
I don't know where you come from or how hard you've had it but what your foster parents did is just wrong. That money is suppose to go to helping YOU not buying beer. They're just another couple taking advantage of the foster care system to line their own pockets. If they were as good as you say they are then you'd have no reason to post an FML. My mom is a former social worker if you want some help then you can privately message me and I'll see what I can do.
Your comment made me laugh, 91. I don't think they'd stoop to that level, but they should rearrange their priorities.
I have to agree, they are shitty foster parents. as someone who has seen all sides of the foster care system, I can definitely tell that these are the type of people that use foster care as a means to get money, and don't give a shit about the kids in their care. that is just plain wrong, and they really should be reported for it. beer it's not important...
It's funny how OP replies saying how everything is fine and dandy, but their original post made the people s/he was living with seem like bad people. Someone who rather spend money alcohol instead of necessities for the house does not seem pretty 'good' to me.
That's the foster care system for you. = Compared to the "parents" who are only in it for the paycheck and abuse their kids, a family like this probably doesn't seem so terrible.
Even though OP said they weren't the greatest, he probably still has some sort of attraction to his foster parents. After seeing the response he got from this post, it's no surprise to me his tone changed to everything being "fine and dandy"
okay so now OP says everything is fi e. if everything is fine and dandy why was this an FML in the first place? O.o
FML is supposed to sound bad, a lot of OP'S admit to exaggerating
Hey it's exactly the same with me and Steam games. Priorities, man

Maybe if you drink enough beer the paper towels will look like toilet paper?
