It's not always as simple as "just move out". The fees of breaking an apartment lease can be astronomical, especially if you're unlucky enough to have signed a contract where you'd still have to continue paying rent until management can find new tenants. So yeah, finding a new place could be financially impossible. I feel for you, OP. I had my own terrifying experiences living alone where I could feel something crawling up my bed and touching me every night. As I had 6 months left on my lease, I burned sage to cleanse my apartment until I could get the hell out. I was skeptical, but it actually worked for me.

If the apartment owner withheld any info from you there has to be someway out of the contract, just like its a law that if your house is haunted and you put it on the market you have to make that known to possible buyers.

Usually there is a really bad smell like rotten egg, that you can't source or get rid of when there is a spirit around. It happened when my Grandpa died, all he wanted to do before he died was to go home.. About 2 weeks after he died, 3 nights in a row there was a really bad smell in his old room.

I'm always scared it could come back. Not because I think I'll get hurt.. But because I can't control it and it's just plain scary.
