I realize this is an old post but it kinda struck a nerve with me since I've been in that exact same situation many times before with the exact same guy everytime because I was always stupid enough to go back to him. It always sucks but you know what? Cats, food, tumblr, and a good TV show always make things better in the end. Unless the asshat has the gall to dump you for someone "just like you" on the same day as your great grandfathers funeral/day you found out your great grandpa passed away. Then the only thing that seems to help is beating his sorry ass with a ******* chair and sending him back into the depths of hell from whence he came. Sorry, got a bit carried away in emotions. Long story short, it'll always suck but it'll always get better.
