Today, the men clearing the walkway outside my dorm room with a snowblower didn't realize that my window was open. I looked over from my computer to see snow shooting in, covering my clock, closet, and radio. Now it's melting. FML

Same thing different taste

Today, I woke up to a quite frigid room, which wasn't out of the ordinary since my building's heat is broken. But I realized that the extra cold I was feeling was due to the snow piled up on my bed. It had snowed 20 inches last night. My mom had apparently opened my window. FML

Today, I woke up to every window in my house packed with snow. It was so bad that I thought I'd been snowed-in, and I started freaking out. It took two hours and multiple phone calls before I found out that my neighbor had taken our prank war too seriously and staged the whole thing. FML

Today, I got off from work and noticed that the weather finally warmed up after the recent snowstorm. I hopped into my car and rolled down the windows. When I opened the sun roof, a foot of snow came falling into my car. FML

Today, I looked outside and I saw that my new car had been snowed on. Sadly the snow had frozen onto the car, so I spent the entire day getting it off. I came inside. By 8pm, my car had snow all over it again, and this time I left the window open. FML

Today, my window got busted and won't shut properly. I live in a college dorm room and maintenance says they can't fix it for a couple of days. It's below freezing in my dorm and I can see my breath while trying sleep. FML

Today, I came home to my bed and most of my room soaking wet. This morning, my mom thought it would be "smart" to warm up my room by opening the skylight above my bed. There were heavy showers all day today. FML

Today, while walking to my car through the snow, I noticed the sunroof was open and 2 feet of snow had poured in. Angry, I opened the door to start cleaning. That's when I noticed all the wildlife that had taken refuge inside from the cold. Not only were my seat cushions wet, they were torn open. FML

Today, with 24 inches of snow on the ground, it is raining like hell. The weight of the snow, now full of rain water, collapsed the roof over my living room. I was eating cereal in my underwear, in the living room, directly under the failure. I'm cold. FML

i know the school that i go to in connecticut sometimes has the heat on too high so you kinda need to cool it off with some air from outside :)

Oh wow, I would've been so angry at the dude. Wonder how much damage it did to all your stuff. Although, I wouldn't have my window open in the snow. For whatever reason you did, I'm pretty sure it's reasonable.

I always have my window open because my bed is right next to the heater. It isn't a stupid thing to do. It gets hot in my room. I'd file a complaint if I were you.

#4 i agree, my dorm room always has the heat on ridiculously high and since the school monitors the thermostat, we cant adjust it, and the only way for us to control the temperature in our rooms is by opening the windows.

My dorm window was always open because we couldn't control the heat in individual rooms so they would get really hot. Also, sometimes it's nice to open your window for a few minutes to get some fresh air so your room doesn't become all stuffy. Sucks for you!
