Today, the traffic court judge didn't believe my three witnesses and two security cameras that proved I was innocent. He claimed a cop would never lie, and that the dashboard security cameras, which the cop brought in, were somehow edited by me. I was fined $1,000 and my license was suspended. FML

Also, for the whole story, I had three other people in the car with me when I was caught "running a red light" by 2 cops who were both behind me. I was clearly in the middle of the intersection when the light turned yellow. I have a feeling that the judge was in a shitty mood that day. This was my first ticket I've ever received, and I've been driving for seven years. Even if I was guilty, I don't know why my fine was $1,000 with a license suspension when the original ticket was $75, and no other tickets on my record. This judge is going down.

I am about 90% sure that the judge is sleeping with the cop.

Oh wow that really sucks. You should apply for an immediate appeal and find yourself a decent lawyer.

You can't sue the judge personally, Judges are immune to that sort of thing - they have to be or else they wouldn't be able to make an unpopular but correct ruling (and yes, that protection can be unfortunate in cases such as what this appears to be, but it's vital for those cases where it IS needed) Also to the people saying the cop didn't show up, obviously the officer did show up because he brought video footage with him (as stated) Yes, #36 is correct that the mainstream national media probably wouldn't care about this, but your local stations will - many local news programs have an advocacy segment that this would be perfect for. Get a lawyer and appeal. That's what the appeals process is for.

Seriously dude, appeal to that. That judge is obviously completely incompetent.

Yeah -- it stinks to be you. I got an unwarranted speeding ticket a few years ago and instead of paying the fine, I took it to court. It was a sham. The county atty, the cop, and the judge were all in cahoots with each other. I wound up paying a $100 fine for a "crime" I didn't commit.

Guys, this is fake. He probably did get caught doing something. He just thought he'd make himself feel better by writing this.

I guess I've never been to traffic court, but shouldn't a jury (which tends to go by the evidence, as oppsed to this judge) have decided your case anyways?

never trust the COPS, the CoURTS, or the government. they are all corrupt and send innocent people to jail all the time just for being black. And for all you COP lovers , i dont call 911, i call .357 just like my grandparents did in the early 1900's BEFORE there were police depts. BUT one thing i do like is how the police keep all the riff raff and homeless people out of my area.

I got the court transcripts and the footage and am appealing to a higher court. I'm also thinking about placing a charge against the cop for lying under oath. I'm not sure if I can get the judge for anything, but I'll see what I can do. It sucks, but hopefully I can sue someone for my money back, and all the money that I have to spend on taxi rides.

I don't beleive this one bit. What security camera were pointed at this intersection??? How did you get the video??? And unless you were convicted of wreckless driving, your DL wouldn't have been suspended for a minor offense. You did something stupid and then shot your mouth off.
