Today, a very pretty girl came up to me and asked me for my phone number. Very pleased, I give it to her with a huge smile and tell her that I can be reached at any time. I then watch her go back to her group of friends. My number was for her gay friend, who then meekly waved at me. FML

I don't get why everyone takes this so seriously. Is being mistaken to be gay so horrible and bad that you had to put it on FML? Are you really that insecure of yourself? "Wow, I've always wanted to meet a gay guy!" "I'm not gay." THAT'S IT. That's all you had to say. Just those 3 words. Done. Complete. End of story. It's all over. The girl did nothing wrong. She just assumed you were gay. Just like how everyone else in the world assumed people were straight until they come out. I'm only gonna say this one last time. When a girl thinks you're gay, just tell her you're not. That's it. The rest is history. This is something you laugh about when you look back, not torment yourself.

Hey man, that girl was probably just shit testing you. You should have said something like: "I'm actually a lesbian" or "I'm only gay if you're a dude" and just moved on. Definitely not FML worthy. So I'm going to say you pretty much deserved it for getting upset about it. Chances are it will happen again, so be prepared.
