Hi everyone, person who wrote the FML here. There seems to be some sort of confusion going on around here, I didn't laugh because my stepmother said that my grandmother was in a better place, It was just the wrong thing to burst out laughing to...not that the funeral helped at all. And thanks to those who made nice comments and stupid ones. It made my day a little bit better 8D

I kinda agree with #5 Grieving doesn't have to include crying in your room all day. In Africa they prefer to celebrate the person's life rather than mourn their death, and it's probably a much better way of dealing with it.

Haha poor you
Some of you people are so damn "Holier Than Thou" - it makes me sick! I think good on the O.P for laughing - that seems to me a pretty funny thing that happened, like bad Karaoke or something, and emotions are high in a situation like this. Itz a great release to be able to laugh in the face of adversity or tragedy, and healthy for you too! Get OVER yourselves!
No matter how bad a singer he is, you should be able to not laugh during a funeral. YDI for being an idiot.
Lmao, you're kidding right? During my uncle's funeral, my dad made a quick little joke and everyone chuckled. I guess we're all going to hell right? Learn to ****** laugh a little. Sheeeeeesh.
Bitch much?
apparently you are not that upset about your grandmother.
that is kinda funny...better place, yea right, how fun it is staying in a 2x0.5 confined space...

When I get nervous, I sometimes get uncontrollable laughter for seemingly mundane stuff too.
I'd like to think that she was watching from beyond and laughing right along with you. : )
