Today, we had a great night out with my girlfriend and even won a costume contest together. I guess I wasn't the only one who had a great night, because when I got home I found that someone had robbed my apartment. FML

Feel free to down vote me if this doesn't make sense but is anyone else confused as to why it says "WE had a great night out with my girlfriend" as opposed to "I had a great night out with my girlfriend?" Who else had a great night out with OP's girlfriend? Is it the royal we?
