I think you could be a bit more frank with him as roommates are a lot more than just friends. . am sure he won't mind your honesty if you tell him lightly. .
My boyfriend works the same amount of hours as a seafood clerk. He comes home smelling like fish, but his feet NEVER smell. I don't think it's his job that's making him smell. lol
For reference, I had foot odour issues too. I had to see a podiatrist about getting a plantar wart removed and asked him what to do about it. He said just use a normal antiperspirant on the feet, just like under the arms, every morning. And it worked! None of my shoes stink anymore and no embarrassing odours when I take them off. Suggest he get new shoes (as those are ruined) and start using it on his feet. I found the soft solids and the gel type antiperspirants work wonders.
Just sneak a bit of powder in his shoes if you really don't want to tell him.
Politely tell him that his feet stink.
So hard work is an acceptable excuse for poor hygiene? If you don't tell him, he'll just always think it's acceptable. As his friend, you need to gently break it to him.
Hey op!! Instead of just telling him. Why not buy him one of those foot spas. They're super cheap these days. It's a thoughtful gift. And you can just say it's because you know he's on his feet all day. It's a win win!!!
Maybe you just be honest with him, but try not to hurt his feelings.
You should probably tell him (as nicely as possible). It might be something he's gotten used to and doesn't even notice - or he notices but think you don't. There are several things that can cause it. Atheletes foot makes your feet really smell but there are lots of cheap medications out there that can get rid of it. If it's just regular old smelly feet from long hours sweating in the same shoes then a quick search online will get you tons of super cheap ways to deal with that too. Thing is that he can't fix it if he doesn't know about it.
May I compliment you on the proper use of nauseous. Sorry about the funk
It's actually not the proper use of the word."The smell of his feet is nauseous" meaning causing nausea would be correct. "The smell of his feel makes me feel nauseated" is also the proper use. If you're nauseated you're about to throw up, if you're nauseous, you're a toxic funk and you're going to make someone else puke. Room mate=nauseous. OP=nauseated.

I think he would prefer you tell him than let him walk around smelling that badly. He could get fired if it's as bad as you say and customers smell it. Just be polite about it and he'll likely just say thanks and go have a shower.
At least you can't blame him
