Today, while at a hospital, a prayer group circled me and started praying that God and the good doctors and nurses would heal me from the disease that disfigured my face. I was there to visit my sick grandmother. FML

Holy mother of God you can't be that ugly can you?

I'd already said FYL by the time I read "... a prayer group circled me,".

If it was just a prank it's a pretty funny one (awful, but funny), but if not that's just incredibly rude. I'm not experienced with prayer groups, but I believe proper etiquette includes asking the person if they'd like to be prayed for first.

Wow they should've checked. Well dont let them get you down. They're probably not all right in the head and why would the hospital let a group of christians huddle around a person and chant a prayer? I would scream from claustrophobia and annoyance.

This is part of the reason I have issues with religious people. I've had a similar experience.

ok, but *do* you have a disease that disfigured your face?

If this wasn't prank, this was... a kind but misled act. Sadly, religious is often times, used for self satisfaction. It doesn't do much good. (going to wait for the thumbs that bury me)

Hopefully it was just a prank; like in Harry Potter when Ron is said to have spattergroit...
