Today, while at an amusement park my husband left me to walk with all of our friends because he said that I moved too slow. I'm pregnant. FML

ok...first...this trip had been planned by our church almost a year in advance, so everyone already had their tickets to go. second...there were about 5 other people in our group that didn't like riding rollar coasters so we all went on the boat rides and the train rides, and to the shows. third...my options were go to the amusement park and hang out with friends all day, or sit at the office for half the day and then go home by myself and do nothing. fourth...i don't understand how deciding to have a child with your husband makes you a ****. can anyone explain that to me? oh, and by the way being pregnant may make you slow, but it doesnt make you boring. boring would have been staying at the house doing nothing all day.

honey, im sorry about all the dickheads bashing you here and about how poorly you were treated. in no circumstance did you deserve that. i know the feeling. i have a condition that causes me to limp and have a slower than average gait and ive been ditched several times at amusement park simply because of my unchangeable pace and even though there are very few rides i cant/wont ride. i do feel the need to ask why you married such a beast.

I have a condition where I have a slower gait too, I always get left behind or complained at. I feel bad for op, especially if it was planned and paid for before her pregnancy.

I vote YDI. Seriously, if you're so pregnant you can't keep up, you're slow, heavy, miserable, and have intolerable mood swings. You would be NO fun in any event that required hours upon hours of walking. You should have let your friends and your husband go and have a good time - not forced them to stick next to your waddling behind and listen to you whine about your water retention. *from a recently pregnant woman.

Not all pregnant women have the same symptoms. And maybe she was sick of sitting at home and wanted to get out of the house and spend some time with her husband/friends.

from a currently pregnant woman: you're a ******* peach; good lord woman. Maybe YOU complained about your water retention etc... but not everyone experiences that and I would sure as hell not spend the whole day bitching about it...

I kind of see it as both FYL and YDI. You've got every right to go with your husband and friends, but they should have been conscious of the fact that you wouldn't be able to ride any of the rides and would have trouble keeping up and should have taken that into account. On the other hand, you probably knew you'd have problems ahead of time and could have declined politely or requested to go somewhere else.

Women who are pregnant want to have fun to. Just because she couldn't go on thrill rides doesn't mean she couldn't have a good time. Heck I climbed a volcano 5 months pregnant and even though it took long I still was glad I did it and my husband kept pace with me the whole time but I guess I shouldn't of done that because all pregnant woman should sit home and do nothing. As long as she was safe and not over exerting herself what harm is there in her going to hang out with everyone?

... People are so ******* stupid. Jesus ******* christ. Like many have said, you can do other things at an amusement park. Do you know how hard pregnancy is? Do you know how shitty it is to have to spend a lot of time inside, with all the ******* fail shit that comes with pregnancy? God FORBID she wanted to get out and have some fun. Not everyone needs to go on the rush-rides to have fun (: Oh and maybe you should be saying it's the friends and husbands fault for TAKING a pregnant person to the amusement park and not expecting to have to tend to her a little. How about that? Yeah, you didn't think, now did you? I hope every retarded person here who commented saying YDI gets pregnant.. even if male. .. Which would be awesome.
