Today, while driving, I witnessed the neighbors dog viciously shaking a black cat. So I slammed on the brakes and jumped out of the car, frantically chasing around the huge dog screaming "Help, someone please help!" I finally managed to tackle him and release the cat. It was a stuffed animal. FML

Today, I saw a poor helpless cat in the middle of the road while driving. I pulled over and scooped it in my arms to bring it to safety. Not only did I get mauled and scratched by the cat, my car also wasn't put in park and rolled away hitting a parked car. FML

Today, I was driving home with my girlfriend. As we turned onto our block, she shrieked that our dog was running down the street and into traffic. I jumped out of the moving car and chased him for about a mile, only to give up, go home, and find out it wasn't our dog. FML

Today, when I stepped outside, I found out my neighbors forgot to leash their mean-ass dog when he promptly started charging at me. If not for the black cat who lives outside my house, who I've fed before, jumping in and somehow single-handedly whooping his ass, I'd probably be dead. You don't fuck with stray cats. FML

Today, I was walking my husky when she saw a cat and bolted toward it. I couldn't let go of the leash because my hand was tangled up. Forced to run along, I ran into a parked van at full sprint. I lost my dog, broke two ribs and have to pay for the dent in the van. FML

Today, I tried to pet what I thought was a cute cat under my porch. As it turned out, it was actually a raccoon. It hissed at me, and I screamed so loud that my neighbors came running. FML

Today, I found my cat downstairs with a squirrel dangling from his mouth. When I saw this, I yelled at my cat to put it down. He did. Turns out the squirrel was still alive and run. I had to spend the next three hours chasing it out of my house. FML

Today, while I was driving around the neighborhood, I passed my neighbors' house only to see their dog with a full-grown dead cat in its mouth. Only one family owns a cat in our neighborhood. FML

Today, after buying some groceries, I walked back to my car. After trying several times to get in the door, I finally look up and see a terrified little boy holding onto his teacup poodle for dear life, frantically waving me away. My car was two spots over. FML

Today, I ran over my neighbors' cat. I didn't want it to look like I killed it, so I put it under my other neighbor's car so it would look like they ran over it. The cat's owners were watching me. FML

Today, I had to take my cat to the vet. On the way there, he managed to get out of his cage, climb into the front seat, onto my chest, and howl in my face as I tried to drive down the highway. I ended up with stitches and still got charged for missing my cat's appointment. FML

You tackled a dog that you thought was trying to kill something?? STUPIDEST MOVE EVER. If that really had been an angry dog trying to kill something, you could have gotten YOURSELF killed. Never, EVER physically intervene when a dog is fighting something. Throw things at it, spray water at it, whatever, but don't physically try to pull it off whatever it's attacking (unless it's a person... in which case valuing the other person's safety above your own is understandable). AND you screamed for other people to help? Not to mention... if the cat was real, and alive, I'm sure it would have been screaming. If it wasn't, it was either fake or dead... in which case, not worth your time and effort. YDI.

Who are you to assume that you should interfere? Besides that, what's to stop the dog from taking YOU on after you deprive it of it's prey (had that really been the case)? Be thankful the dog didn't rip into you for stealing its toy. Stop playing the hero and get some common sense. FML material this is not.

You honestly got out of your car to "help" free a cat from a dog. I can see intelligence doesn't run in your family. One, the dog could have (and too bad it didn't) attack you. Two, anything you would have attempted was probably too late considering the dog had a firm enough grip to shake it back and forth. Three, its just a damn cat. I have cats and dogs at my house but that doesn't mean I go and try to save every stray I see. Again, its just a damn cat, let it go. This FML would have satisfied me more because of your stupidity if it went like this, "I was like driving down the street and saw like this dog that was like viciously shaking this poor little kitty-cat so I like got out of my car to like save it and when I did the dog like attacked me and hurt me real bad and when I yelled 'someone please help me', someone came and stole my car and this little six year old boy came and like peed on me." One more piece of advice, next time you have a thought, let it go.
