Too bad you didn't drown. :)
fake. I'm not even a lifeguard and I know how to get out of a riptide and swim back to shore. I have even done it a few times. if you are a real lifeguard you would not have needed saving
And for everyone saying there's no such thing as riptides rip⋅tide [rip-tahyd] –noun a tide that opposes another or other tides, causing a violent disturbance in the sea. Origin: 1860–65; rip 2 + tide 1 Synonyms: See undertow. -suck it yankees
HAHAHA. are you a really new lifegaurd? perhaps you were caught in a rip-current? Next time swim parallel to the shore instead of trying to fight the current. Or you could just be a badass and bodysurf a really big wave back to shore like I do.
lol.
As a lifeguard you should know what to do during riptide. Stay calm and go left or right. Rip currents are very thin.
The ocean is powerful, no matter how strong of a swimmer you are the ocean can still **** you up!
