Today, while I was out of the office, I'd left my phone charging inside. My boss informed me that since I am clearly running up her electricity bill, it will be deducted out of my already nearly non existent paycheck. FML

Today, I found out that the only reason my "friend" comes over to my apartment is so that she can charge her phone using my electricity, because she's too cheap to use her own. FML

Today, the power went out at work. As everyone left the building to go home, the owner came in to inform me that, since the phones were on a battery back up, I would be staying to man them. The phones rang 2 times in the 4 hours I sat in the dark by myself. Both times were telemarketers. FML

Today, while working at a chain restaurant, I forgot to charge someone a few dollars for extra toppings on the side. My stingy boss took the time to take that money out of my paycheck. FML

Today, I was running late for work. I was trying to find my car keys, then realized I'd left them in my boyfriend's car. My phone charger was locked in my car, and my phone was dead. I couldn’t get hold of my boss and explain what had happened. I’m fired, aren’t I? FML

Today, my coworker told me when we got to work that she purposely left her phone at home. I then had to suffer 8 hours of listening to her constantly whine like a toddler about how much she missed her phone. FML

Today, my boss threatened to fire me if I didn't stop looking at my phone while working. I work in the back room, and there is no clock in there. I look at my phone to check the time. That way I know how long I have left in that hellhole. FML

Today, my boss fired me for "fooling around" on my phone. I was looking for supplies for a surprise party we are throwing him for his birthday, and I didn't want to do it on my work computer because he has access to our history. Also, this happened during my lunch break. FML

Today, I lost my $100 in cash that I had to use to pay my phone bill. As a result, my phone got cut off and I missed an important call for an apartment that I was looking at. When I went to work, I heard my boss saying how lucky she was to find $100 in cash. FML

Some bosses are morons..! I used to work in a chinese restaurant for 2 years, i always ate there after work and one day they gave me something that wasn't ok and i got sick because of it.. I got fired for being sick with the comment that i should pay more attention to what i eat..

That's weird. Tell her that, according to electrical rates (here in Quebec anyways) leaving a 25 Watt phone recharger on would cost about 0.00125 cents per hour. Or about 5 cents every 40 hours. Yeah. She can deduct 5 cents from your paycheck, if you leave your charger running every second of every minute of every hour that you're on the clock.

Be nice. Inform your boss, via e-mail, that you would happily re-imburse the company for the electricity costs once the electrical company have provided your boss with the official breakdown of electricity usage, per person, per hour (etc.etc.). If you get fired for this, good riddance. There is no long-term gain from working for such skittish superiors.
