Today, while I was waiting for the bus, I was whistling. I saw a cute girl running and I looked at my phone so it didn't seem too awkward. I was still whistling as she passed by so it sounded like I whistled at her. She ran back to slap me. FML

I'd love to know what makes anyone think it's ok to slap someone just for whistling at them.

That's a good way to break the ice !!

I'm surprised your usual whistle was enough to get a girl to slap you.

That's hilariously unfortunate. Next time just pretend that she hit you so hard that you need an ambulance

Wtf id be so pissed, im thé kind of Guy Who whistl all thé time! I think id.follow her anywhere, Just to scare her....

That sounds like the sort of thing that someone who has a few restraining orders out against him would say.

high five... sorry op...its unfortunate.. may be she is not sportive at all..

Lol she's so up herself, next time you see her better stay away from her!

I wouldn't take it personally. Maybe she's just born to be a critic.

I would have called the police and had her arrested for assault and battery.

Show it anyway

Yes, cat calling is a problem but there's no need to hit someone in the face. it's just rude and she goes in the wrong.

Ok, she overreacted, but then again, it doesn't sound like she beat the shit out of him either. I guess I'm just sympathizing with her 'cause I can imagine slapping a guy when it's the twentieth time that day that some dude thought it was allright to harrass me while I'm minding my own business.

yeah but it wasn't catcalling, it was whistling. whistling should never be automatically assumed directed at someone. if he was staring at her and/or shouting things after her that would be different

if whistling bothers you take much go somewhere else. it's just whistling. I bet most weren't even directed at you. cars parking in the crosswalk bother me but I don't punch them.

I wouldn't consider whistling harassment... Even if it was directed at her, it's just a whistle ... It's not like he was shouting nasty things at her... People get so worked up over nothing, it's pretty sad.

If the OP was yelling at her and saying things about her body or whatever. There is still no reason to assault him. FFS. If he slapped her ass or grabbed her boob or something that would be a different story but the OP wasn't even looking at this girl.
