Today, while in bed with my boyfriend of 2 years, he mentioned what it would be like if he had sex with anyone other than me. I mentioned the same about him. He quickly yelled, "No, you're a woman. You are mine!" FML

Being possessive isn't good at all. Double standards aren't cool either

how is this an fml.. and thats not being possessive, just trying to prevent cheating..

I really don't think this calls for an FML. Guys are possessive about women they love, and don't want to think of any other man touching them (most anyway). However, there's a boundary to the possessiveness. And since I don't do well with double standards, when ever my boyfriend tells me something like this I tell him "whatever you can do in this relationship I can do too. So if you can do stuff with other girls than I can do stuff with other guys. If you have a problem with me doing it, then you don't do it either. And if you do it and then I do it too, then you better not bitch about it later." that usually shuts him up.

I'd recommend leaving that territorial, sexist **** now.

Unless you are okay with him sleeping with other women, you need to leave him. If you aren't, and you don't; do not cry when you find out he's banging three other chicks. He just told you who he is lol. Believe him. #monogamy is not natural lol.

You mean your EX boyfriend. Dump that ******.

I'd just like to add: Do any of you people have partners? Because if everytime you relate fmls to your life and the answer is always "dump him", you really don't know jack-shit about being with someone. But probably y'all fat and lonely.

My ex-boyfriend was the same.. After that it only went downhill and I dumped him.. Sad to hear it OP, I feel for you

I don't get why some (not all) men have double standards like this and think that it's okay to think of and treat women as their property. This is the 21st Century and they need to stop being so sexist. It doesn't help when there are women who allow themselves to be treated as such; it does happen.
