cristina_laila tells us more.
I saw a man wearing a bike helmet, flailing his arms and following the little girls around. I kept jogging and saw a woman sitting on a park bench texting. She was completely out of site of the girls. I kindly asked her if she was their mother. When she replied 'yes', I told her that I saw a man talking to her daughters and that he looked like a weirdo...that's when she told me that the 'weirdo' was her disabled brother. I apologized to her and took off. I'm not a judgmental person; I was acting on my instincts as a woman to protect these young girls. Believe me, I'm mortified!!!

Dont jump to conclusions
Well you had good intentions so in all honesty, it's better you acted on it then not. Although it didn't turn out the way you thought it would, you should be proud you did something because a lot of people would just ignore that.
HAHAHAHA
There's not enough detail to judge. What does "acting strangely" mean? If was being aggressive or something, I can see the misunderstanding; but if you thought he was a danger to the children just because he had a disability, then you're kind of a jerk. In any case you shouldn't have called a stranger a "weirdo" without knowing the situation.
I'll vote FYL. There's no way you would of known, not unless the woman was right in full view of that.
It's not that she could have known, it's that she labeled the guy a "weirdo", why not tell the mother there was a "man" near the kids? Same concern, less judgement, no embarrassment.
Totally wrong!! Mind your business op... Judging someone on how you think they look.... Superlame... I'd be pissed if I was the mother / sister and bitch slap the dumb out of you.... In sure she heard enuff teasing when they were kids about him wtg bribing it all back n exposing your ignorance to a new generation your awesome
Well, at least u were trying to help the kids.
I thouth this fml was going to say you went and beat him

Dont feel bad, you had good intentions. :)
I mean, your intentions were pure. I'd rather that you help prevent a situation than you allowing something to happen.
