cristina_laila tells us more.
I saw a man wearing a bike helmet, flailing his arms and following the little girls around. I kept jogging and saw a woman sitting on a park bench texting. She was completely out of site of the girls. I kindly asked her if she was their mother. When she replied 'yes', I told her that I saw a man talking to her daughters and that he looked like a weirdo...that's when she told me that the 'weirdo' was her disabled brother. I apologized to her and took off. I'm not a judgmental person; I was acting on my instincts as a woman to protect these young girls. Believe me, I'm mortified!!!

Ok, did the mother get mad at you??? I'm a parent and both me and my wife would chuckle as we thank you and let you know it's not a stranger. I don't think this is a fml or ydi...
YDI, don't jump to conclusions.
Seems like anytime someone on here gets into someone else's business, they get universally kicked in the face. Mind your own and life won't be a **** yours.
You had a good intention... Mebe you could have taken a closer look at that guy?
its super nice of you to care and want to do something about what you thought was odd though:)
I have to say YDI. It's stuff like this that makes men reluctant to be more active in their kids' lives; if they don't look like a perfect TV dad, people start thinking they're creepers. The latest Amber Alert in my community was just a guy taking his kid home from daycare - people thought he looked suspicious and called the police on him. Like another person said, it would have been better to confirm the mother knew the guy before instantly labeling him a 'weirdo'.
how would you know who was their mother??fake....
If that family bring the weirdo out in public they have to live with reality. If they do not want to hear any comments about him, they should keep their weirdo locked up, where he belongs.
Maybe next time you shouldn't use the term "weirdo" and use something more generic like "person" or "man."

Dont feel bad, you had good intentions. :)
I mean, your intentions were pure. I'd rather that you help prevent a situation than you allowing something to happen.
