Thats sick that scumbag should have been shot down and they should have been given support, I know just how you feel when I told my family about my abuse they all turned against me and stopped talking to me except my grandparents and my mother, my mother because she knew this man was a pedophile but still let him baby sit me because she was a young mum who still wanted to party and drink every night and he was happy to baby sit the pretty slender girl I was back then, I have gone to great pains to sabotage my looks now and found safety in obesity, tattoos and piercings.

Unfortunately, some people lack the maturity to handle an uncomfortable situation. Instead of being consoling they make a crude, insensitive joke. I would've told them how uncool it was either immediately, or later on taken them aside. I'm sorry you were made to feel a number of unpleasant emotions because of your friend's jackass comment.
