Today, while shopping in the baby department at a local department store, a woman approached me asking when I was due. I told her that I was due in 4 months. I lied. I'm not pregnant. FML

I once asked a girl I knew when her baby was due because I knew for sure she was pregnant. I didn't expect her answer, "I already had the baby." After that, I realized it's better not to say anything at all. Maybe OP wants to have a baby, so she was just looking at the baby stuff, wishing; therefore, she could've lied because she wanted to pretend for a moment. She may not be big at all; maybe the lady just asked because they were in the baby Dept.

Exactly. Thats what I do too, I simply do not ask if someone is preggers or expecting, it inevitably leads to awkward moments that I just prefer to avoid!
