Today, yet again, I had to dye my hair brown in advance of the new school year, because my school doesn't allow "unapproved" colors, even if they're natural. FML

Today, I let my daughter dye her hair pink. I got an email from her school stating that the hair color violated the school dress code as it's “distracting,” and she will not be allowed to attend classes until she changes it. We do school over Zoom. Not sure how her hair distracts on a screen. FML

Today, I colored my hair. It was supposed to turn out blonde, but it became more a mix of red and brown and blonde patches. When I tried coloring everything back, a green tint was added. My hair is at the moment red, brown, blonde and green. FML

Today, as always, my mother hates my life choices. Particularly my hair for some reason. As she's always whinging about it being dyed blonde, I dyed it back to my natural colour again to appease her, and stop the constant bullying. She hates it. FML

Today, after wasting $60 and 3 hours of my time getting my hair dyed to get rid of the ugly orange tint it had from the last time I got my hair dyed, it turned out to be the exact same color I started with. I go on vacation in 6 days and hate my hair. I'm not looking forward to taking pictures, that’s for sure. FML

They can't make you dye your hair... That doesn't make sense or seem right at all. You go to a religious school or something? Which still doesn't make sense considering that's the color God gave you. FYL.

There is no school in the world with the legal right to make you dye your hair because they don't approve of your natural shade. If they press the issue make a fuss. Bring it to their superiors. Maybe talk to a lawyer or a local reporter. They may back down once they get some negative attention.

Asia does this as well. I know of a girl who had to turn in pictures of when she was 3 to prove it was her natural color. Her mom's word wasn't enough!

my daughter has dyed the underside of her hair teal . If the school had said anything I was going to ask why they were worried about her hair when you can buy any drug you want in the halls .Seems like they are worried about the wrong things.
