Today, my fiancé and I met his mother for lunch to discuss wedding plans. When we got there, I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. I heard a woman talking on her cell phone in the stall about her son's "disgusting, slutty girlfriend." The toilet flushed and my future mother-in-law walked out. FML

Good. The best way to treat those who are inconsiderate and insulting is to simply ignore them. They don't get the satisfaction of creating a scene or receiving the attention they so desperately desire.

wouldnt it be nice if some mother in laws werent such bitches. but if that was me after the ceremony finished i would've told her to leave ,since she cant be happy for your son and keep her mouth shut.
