Dang. If someone said that at my wedding, I'd look at her, point a finger, and say loudly, "**** you too." While smiling beautifully. :)
I'm sure they were all just as shocked & just didn't want to encourage such behavior by acknowledging it... at least I hope. Congratulations, by the way! Don't let this ruin your big day. : )
hey, you got her son away from her so your the winner here. ignore her and enjoy your wedding day and honeymoon. congrats!
Even if she was upset to be giving up her son, she should not have muttered that word in front of your family and friends. That it is utterly disrespectful and immature. If she has a problem with you, she should have taken it up work you on your own time.
you should have punched your husband for letting her call you that!
No wedding thank you letter for her
You could always go up to her later and say "I appreciate your comment during the ceremony so much, my goal was to be exactly like you when you were my age, and your comment validated it. Now my goal is to be as much of a bitch as you are when I'm old and wrinkled like you. Then give her a hug and walk away. Haha sorry this happened OP. But at least everyone heard her say it and they will support you
In in-law
Maybe they didn't want to divert their attention to her and ruin your special moment

This actually makes things a lot easier; at least now everyone knows she's a huge bitch. :^)
Good. The best way to treat those who are inconsiderate and insulting is to simply ignore them. They don't get the satisfaction of creating a scene or receiving the attention they so desperately desire.
