I'm sorry OP! I don't understand how some people can be so cruel to their children. My best friend's dad played favorites like that too, because his new wife hated my best friend.

I feel you. My sperm donor is like that too. I've spent many years trying to make him proud and he still treated me like shit. I've learned to just let go and forget him. I love my mother dearly and they're still married. I go see her when he isn't there.
