Today, my mom bitched me out for still being single at age 19, and still not having started a family. She considers this "immoral," yet showed nothing but praise for my sister, who's pregnant at 15 and doesn't know which of three guys is the father. FML

Relatively? Most doctors suggest you wait until you're in your 30s to have a baby - that's when it's the best time. 40s is when it starts getting unsafe.

As my mother has recently been through too many fertility treatments, I know a little of what the doctors suggest. One of those things is that there is a higher chance of birth defect or disabilities in a child born after the mother is 35 or older. There are still healthy babies born, but risks are higher.
