My new husband is only 4yrs older than my oldest son. So I can't really comment about age issues. But, you don't date the children of people you know... Or your children's friends... Ya just don't.

You have to take into consideration the whole situation. Age is just a number. My husband is 12 years older than I am. It depends on age difference but would also depend upon the maturity level of your daughter.
