Today, I found out that the woman from My Strange Addiction who can't stop picking her scabs is married. I've been single for two years and I don't even pick my nose. FML

Don't want to be the dick here, but maybe she's a lovable person and picking scabs isn't much of a deal-breaker, whereas you may not have any disgusting habits yet you are an asshat. If you have a good personality you have nothing to worry about, good things will come in tim, maybe just put yourself out there a little more. Either way it wasn't very nice to compare her in that way, she's a person just like the rest of us...

Heyyy look at the bright side OP.... Her husband is probably butt-******' ugly! He probably couldn't find anyone better because he is just as gross as she is.. They're perfect for each other! I'm sure you will be able to find someone that's perfect for you too, eventually..

Falling in love isn't as easy as not being gross. There is no reason why somebody who picks their scabs can't be a genuinely good companion, nor for that matter, why you should be any better just because you don't.

So true. If someone is willing to work on something, and if I care about them, I will work with them. The biggest turn off to me is the victim mentality. Yea, we all may be trapped in it at one time or another and that is fine. But I know someone who's depression got do bad they have been locked in the victim mentality for over 5 years. They refuse to get help for the underlying problem, the depression, and wonder why relationships and friendships keep going up in flames. It's tiring trying to support someone who won't make changes. Hopefully op isn't one of those people and just having a down in the dumps day. But as I said earlier, we are in control of making changes. It may take practice to get the change to stick for good, but most people I know who are having trouble finding someone to be happy with usually has something deeper going on. Maybe they have social anxiety and can't bring themselves to go out. Or a fear of rejection after being hurt. Or just no sure where to go to meet people. There are hundreds of reasons and most can be worked on to eventually bring about the result of meeting someone and building a strong relationship.

Soooo relieved to hear OP doesn't pick his/her nose! What a charming quality to not have when trying to meet potential mates. As for picking scabs, now THAT'S pre-requisite #1 for a potential life partner!
