Today, all of my friends and teachers asked me what was wrong because I looked sad and tired. One kid even said that I looked like "an abused housewife the day after." I was fine. It was the first time I went to school without wearing any makeup. FML

Today, I had a morning shift at the restaurant and didn't feel like wearing makeup. I was energetic and greeted everyone happily, but my manager told me I looked tired. I said, "Oh no I'm just not wearing makeup!" He said, "Well, you might need it." FML

Today, it was my first day at my new high school. I put on a tiny bit of makeup, just some mascara, to feel more confident. I got in the car and my mom started yelling about how horrible my makeup is, basically calls me a slut for wearing it, and makes me take it off. I ended up crying in the bathroom on my first day. FML

Today, I started my new job as a teacher. Worried about how I looked, I asked a coworker if I looked okay. She said, "You look fine. Just like a normal high school kid." I spent the next half hour convincing her that I was not a student, but a teacher. FML

Today, I was yelled at by multiple people at work for not wearing any makeup. The only reason I don’t wear makeup is because my mom is guaranteed to make me cry before I leave the house every morning, so there’s no point. FML

it happens. if people don't know what your real face looks like then they will do that. I wear eyeliner everyday and one day i didn't and my mom kept bugging me all day that i looked sick. that's why i try to avoid makeup on a regular basis. and when i do wear it, it looks special. lol

Same here. I feel I need to wear makeup to look normal, but that doesn't include ANY eye makeup, blush or stuff like that. I seem to have a reddish skin tone and dark circles around my eyes even though I sleep at least 8h/night.

#67, you don't need to write a novel... some people aren't naturally beautiful like you probably are, and need to wear makeup daily to feel confident. also, its an FML post, they're not supposed to be the most horrible thing that's ever happened to anyone. chill out.

ya... been there, done that.... I'm fair skinned and blonde... I look like I have no eyelashes and no circulation if I skip makeup totally (I don't wear tons... usually just grey eyeliner, mascara, blush, and gloss) so ALWAYS wear at least a bit of mascara and subtle blush when I go in to work. There are a couple times I've had to run out the door to work without... And at least one coworker will ask me if I'm sick when that happens....

oh my goodness that happened to me too! i was on my way to the school bathroom to apply my makeup and a kid who was by the front door of the school saw me and was like "WHOAH.. are you okay?" then my friend yesterday said "hey how are you" and makeup-less i said "kinda tired" and he said "YEAH.. i can see that." fml lol
