What the hell is even that?!

Today, I went on what I thought was a date. After a wonderful night with a perfect gentleman, he told me how excited he is that he's moving in with his girlfriend next week, and thanked me for reassuring him that he doesn't want anyone but her. FML

Welp, just cross him off the list. Luckily you only wasted one date with him. It wasn't polite what he did, but at least he didn't lead you on.

Tell his girlfriend you went on a date. It's only fair.

After he said that u should have gotten naked and tempted him to cheat... A little payback.. Lol

payback on the girlfriend who didn't do anything? payback on op to make her a homewrecker?

Just think of it as a job interview and you got second place. I hope you didn't have your heart set on permanently having the kind of jobs he was requiring, but there are plenty of guys who would be willing to take you on as an independent contractor ;)

Well, as long as they're friends...with benefits...

Fyl. But then again, going off his logic, you dodged a bullet there. Do you want to be with someone who has to date other people while dating you to 'know for sure' if he wants to stay in the relationship? If anything I'd be angry for the time wasted, not hurt by the rejection.

This is probably the most solid, helpful advice for OP. Well put.

#33, at least the "perfect" part. He seemed to have one big flaw.

Who does that? If you have to go on a date with someone else just to make sure you only want your girlfriend, you may have some issues. You will find somebody worth your time, OP.

Well did you get free food or anything?

Guess he wasn't perfect. You forgot to mention he was an asshole.

Well you didn't really say anything to indicate that he indicated that he was single. At some point in their lives, plenty of guys get the, "I'm sorry; I didn't realize that you thought this was a date". If this were a guy, all of those, "that guy isn't worth your time, princess"s would turn to, "you deserved it; you know, just because a girl enjoys a company doesn't mean she wants your schnitzel"s. I hate to be that guy, but I'm seeing a double standard here.
