What were the chances?

By emilyparra1 - This FML is from back in 2012 but it's good stuff - United States - Riverview

Today, I had a job interview for a job I've been dying to have. As I walked into the office, the manager said, "Aren't you my son's ex, the one he cheated on?" All I could do was sit there quietly as he laughed at me. FML

Wow, that's so rude and unprofessional. Find somewhere else to work OP.

OP: "Yes and I am and I think you need to make up for your son's mis-doing by hiring me at a larger salary than advertised. I'm sure everyone here would like to find out what a low-life your son turned out to be. Let me know when I start."

You should have said that you now know where he got his jerkness from.

hopefully you won't have to work for someone so rude. if he says that from just seeing you, imagine what it would be like everyday

Over the line bringing personal life directly into the job. But funny

I'm sorry but, as much as its your "dream job". Your "manager" is a huge asshole for laughing and that has probably cheated on his wife if he condones his son doing it by laughing at you.

"Oh, you mean the one who left me for that gay guy? Yeah, I remember him"

Really you had a job interview for job? I thought you had a job interview to get in college

Well they both sound like assholes but if you did get the job I certainly hope it pays well.. You deserve that at the very least :p

He would have gotten a good kick in the balls if that were me !

I know you want the job hun, but if the interviewer is that rude, you don't need it. I bet this is a sign that there's a much better job out there for you ^_^ keep looking girlie, you'll find a good job.

Dream job turns into nightmare. Sorry, OP. If you have to take this job, keep job hunting and get another as soon as you can.
