The rotten apple didn't fall far from the tree. If only a job interview already turns out like this, I'm sure it's a good thing you don't work there.
Don't take that job. with a manager that much of an asshole you're guaranteed not to enjoy it there
Like father, like son
you could walk out and still have your dignity.
Could be just testing how you react under pressure, or non std interview question. Focus on job at hand and answer question w poise. Like if he did then it was his loss, cause I could be the best thing ever for him- let us discuss this again in 10 yrs after I have showed you how great I am at my job. I used non std approach to test thinking on feet, and use of common sense. Example - tell me a joke. If you can tell jokes you socialize, does not have to be funny. So their more than just books. If person said racist or off colored joke they had no filter, and can say the wrong thing at the wrongggg time.
I'm sorry but I find your interview technique unprofessional as well. What if the person just isn't funny, but MORE than qualified for the job? Should they be denied for not meeting unnecessary qualifications? Besides, if this man's way of "testing" someone is to laugh at a horribly memory, then he is not fit for management. What he did was cruel and just plain mean!
You didn't have to sit quietly. You could leave. I don't understand why people in here have no respect for themselves.
You should have replied saying you now understand why his son is such a failure and douchebag!
Now you know where the ex got his douchebaggery from. Sorry to read this. Hope you find a man who treats you right.

Wow, that's so rude and unprofessional. Find somewhere else to work OP.
OP: "Yes and I am and I think you need to make up for your son's mis-doing by hiring me at a larger salary than advertised. I'm sure everyone here would like to find out what a low-life your son turned out to be. Let me know when I start."
