I think your own evaluation of a relationship is much more effective than a Facebook status.

Not to be harsh or anything but this sounds like a middle school relationship. If you haven't heard from him why don't you try contacting him first? The phone works both ways. You shouldn't have to feel shy or embarrassed to text or call first in a relationship. And if your not sure if you two are even still together, contact the partner in question and ask. Don't be afraid to ask if your not sure.

How long has it been? Please do follow up because I'm sure we're all curious.

Unless he's in some technologically-defunct country or fighting in a war, you need to focus on other things that make you happy. Leave him a "checking-up-on-you" offline message and call up your friends for a night out. When he sees how happy and emotionally self-sufficient you are, he will want to tap into your oasis of zen.

I'm scared to ask what "so long" is for you, OP. If it's reasonable, fine. If it's like 24 hours... yeaaaah.

Call, text, email, Facebook message, kik, snapchat, the list goes on and on...there should be some way to get back in contact

If it really has been a long time, and I mean weeks, I don't think the relationship is gonna work out unless he has a REALLY good reason for not talking to you. If it's just a few days though, give him the benefit of the doubt for now...
